Melodix Software GmbH is a Swiss company. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG). For this website, Melodix Software GmbH is the data controller. For the Exerzisor platform, your music school is the controller of its school data and Melodix Software GmbH processes that data on the school's behalf.

2. This website (exerzisor.com)

This marketing website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services. When you visit, our hosting infrastructure may process technical connection data (such as IP address, date and time of access, browser type) in server logs for the purpose of operating the site securely and diagnosing faults. This data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted after a limited period.

3. The Exerzisor platform

When a music school or teacher uses the Exerzisor platform, we process the data needed to provide the service:

• Account data — name, login credentials and role (teacher, student, parent, admin). An email address is optional for student accounts.
• Content — lessons, sheet music, chord sheets, files, recordings and messages uploaded or created by your school.
• Usage data — practice minutes, XP, trophies and statistics, used to provide the platform's progress-tracking features to your school.

This data is processed solely to provide Exerzisor to your school, which remains the controller of its data. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Email notifications (e.g. when a lesson is published) are sent only as configured by your school.

4. Hosting & data location

Exerzisor instances operated by Melodix Software GmbH (the managed cloud at app.exerzisor.com and hosting we run for schools) are hosted on servers in the European Union. Files are stored redundantly to protect against data loss, and backups are retained for a limited period before deletion. For deployments on a school's own servers (own hosting on customer infrastructure or free self-hosting), the school chooses and controls the data location. Melodix Software GmbH, as a Swiss company, is subject to Swiss data protection law; Switzerland holds an EU adequacy decision for data transfers.

5. Children's data

Exerzisor is used by music schools whose students may be minors. Student accounts can be created without an email address, and the optional leaderboard is pseudonymous (game names and avatars instead of real names). The school (as our customer) remains responsible for obtaining any consent required from parents or guardians; the parent portal gives guardians read-only insight into their own child's data only.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Swiss nDSG you have the right to access, rectify, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, the right to restrict or object to its processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 7. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when the platform gains new features. The current version is always available at this address.
